The person behind it

My name is Morten. After 25 years of hands-on construction I am now studying architectural technology and construction management in Copenhagen, working alongside the studies in ICT management, BIM management and AI implementation — and building HuskyBIM in the evenings, because I cannot leave it alone.

I am not a programmer, and I am not an engineer. HuskyBIM is vibe-coded — I describe what a connector should do, and AI writes the code with me. I mention this for two reasons. The first is honesty: you should know who made the tool you are trusting. The second is that it is the best demonstration I have of what this technology means for our industry — the distance between knowing what should be built and being able to build it is shrinking fast.

The road here went through two rooms. The first was at my school, where a senior lecturer in BIM runs a volunteer Dynamo café in his own unpaid time; there I saw visual scripting, and that Dynamo could run Python scripts against the Revit API — my first look inside Revit's machinery. The second was an industry event in Copenhagen in 2024, where I first saw AI driving AEC software. I went home, downloaded an open-source attempt from GitHub — it was not very good — and started building my own from scratch instead. That is how I ran into MCP. In February 2026 the first HuskyBIM connector talked to Revit, and everything here has grown from there, evening by evening.

That origin shapes how HuskyBIM is run: free, independent, bug reports usually fixed the same day, and a changelog that says what actually happened. No sales team, no investors.
